Hem means home, and home is where the heart is. For Hem founder Petrus Palmér and family, home is located in a remodeled blacksmith’s workshop situated in the Stockholm city center. Designed in collaboration with architects Björn Förstberg and Mikael Ling, the house is a reflection of an ideal retreat.

The interior is a mix of Hem favourites, old Swedish heirlooms, common houseplants, and subdued, but prestigious items from fellow design brands. The home is dominated by large, sunlit ceiling windows and stretches of warm materials to stop the simplicity from turning the home into a gallery.
