As part of our strive in making great design accessible, we never charge for shipping within the US.


For our friends in Switzerland and Norway additional customs charges and national VAT will be charged directly by the local tax authorities and needs to be paid separately by the customer. Should you have further questions regarding additional charges please contact your local tax office.


Standard Delivery Services

Small Parcels and Normal Parcels

Hem most commonly uses FedEx Ground as the standard delivery service for parcel shipments. FedEx obtains a signature from someone at the delivery address; from a neighbor, or someone at a neighboring address; or you can also leave a FedEx Door Tag authorizing release of the package without anyone present. 

If you happen to not be at home at the time of delivery, the delivery service will re-attempt the delivery. After 3 failed attempts to deliver the parcels will be returned to our warehouse. In such a case, you need to contact us to arrange a re-delivery. An extra delivery cost at the rate originally paid will occur.

Freight

Hem most commonly uses FedEx Freight and a standard curbside delivery.
Our delivery partner will contact you before the delivery to propose a delivery date and time frame with an option to reschedule this if the time is inconvenient. If you happen to not be at home at the agreed time of delivery, your item will be returned to the warehouse. In that case, you need to contact us to arrange a re-delivery. An extra delivery cost at the rate originally paid will occur.

  Return policy 

We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase from Hem. Once you have received your delivery, please inspect the product(s) and inform us within 5 days of delivery if anything is missing or has been damaged in transit. We will refund or replace any item that arrives damaged. The original box for the product needs to be saved to be able to claim the product. Please contact our customer team for more info on how to proceed at info@hem.com


If you are not happy with your item, you may return your non-damaged and unused Hem purchase within 14 days. Due to the high quality of the materials and fabrics used in Hem products, the customer is responsible for shipping charges associated with returning a non-damaged item.
