Globos Neon, designed by Josefin Eklund, is a brilliant synergy of color and light that carries itself as a stand-alone sculpture or as the captivating ambient light in any room. Colored glass pipes are hand-blown into playful balloon-like shapes and mounted on an aluminum backing, making it an object that is both visually striking and remarkably versatile.
Josefin Eklund is a, mostly, self taught neon light artist from Gothenburg, Sweden currently living in Stockholm. She started working with neon in 2016 when she found an artist book from the neon light artist Keith Sonnier in the library. She started by collecting books, images, videos and information about neon, learned how it worked and visited companies working with neon to learn even more. In early 2017 she had her first solo exhibition in Gothenburg and has since then exhibited in many places and worked with a lot of brands and artists. The past year, working with neon both commercially and with her own designs, has been her full-time job. Josefin is known for her colorful and abstract shapes put together as neon installations. With her neon, she wants to make the world a more colorful place and spread good energy in all kinds of environments.
