The pouf is Marcelis’s inaugural design into our collection and her first foray into soft form furniture. This donut-shaped beauty is perfectly sculptural; a bold graphic form that interrupts interior landscapes with its faultless chunky geometry, available in three vibrant upholstery options: Sulfur Yellow, Cotton Candy, and Oatmeal. The first inspiration for the Offcut Plates was found in the architecture and the streets, quite literally, of Guadalajara. Specifically, in the way that broken tiles from ceramic factories are commonly used as a decorative mosaic-like material for floors and pavements.

Fabien Cappello’s design studio sits behind a bright yellow door in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Guadalajara. After moving to Mexico from London around five years ago, Fabien’s design practice has absorbed the singular influence of Mexican culture. His work, which includes both industrial and collectible design, reverberates with an energy that is transferred from street to studio.
